This Privacy Policy explains how PRG Ventures (a proprietorship of Pradhyumna Gupta), doing business under the brand name NORGEAR (“NORGEAR”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit or buy from www.norgear.in (the “Site”) or contact us. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
By using the Site, you acknowledge this Policy. Where the law requires your consent (for example, for promotional messages or analytics cookies), we will ask for it separately.
1. Information we collect

- Billing and shipping addresses
- Order details and purchase history
- Messages, photos or videos you send us (for example, for returns, warranty or damage claims)
- Reviews, comments and feedback you post
- Your marketing preferences and consents
Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways. We do not store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials. We receive only limited information, such as payment status, transaction ID and the last four digits of your card.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed and time spent on the Site, collected through cookies and Google Analytics (see Section 5)
2. How we use your information
We use your personal data to:
- process, ship and deliver your orders, and send order updates;
- handle payments, refunds, returns, exchanges and warranty claims;
- respond to your queries and provide customer support;
- send promotional messages (WhatsApp, SMS or email) only if you have opted in;
- improve the Site, products and customer experience;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. Legal basis
We process your data with your consent (for example, marketing messages and analytics cookies), to perform your order (delivery, payments, support), and for legitimate uses permitted by law (for example, legal compliance and fraud prevention). You can withdraw consent at any time, as described in Section 8.
4. Who we share your information with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:
- Payment gateways to process your payments;
- Courier and logistics partners to deliver your orders (name, address, phone number);
- Website, hosting and e-commerce platform providers that run the Site;
- Communication providers for email, SMS or WhatsApp messages;
- Google Analytics (Google LLC), which helps us understand how visitors use the Site. It collects usage data through cookies, such as pages viewed and device and browser details. Google’s use of this data is governed by its own privacy policy;
- Authorities, courts or regulators where required by law or to protect our rights; and
- A successor business, if NORGEAR is ever sold or merged, subject to this Policy.
These providers may use your data only to provide their services to us and must keep it secure. Some of them may store or process data on servers outside India.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, which are small files stored on your device. They fall into two types:
- Essential cookies: needed for the Site to work, such as keeping items in your cart and completing checkout. These are set by our website platform and our payment gateway. The Site cannot work properly without them.
- Analytics cookies: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, so we can improve it. These are used only if you accept them through our cookie banner.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may stop working if you block essential cookies. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google’s browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
6. Security
We use reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure payment gateways and restricted access. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including to handle returns and warranty claims, and as required by tax, accounting and other laws. After that, we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it (for example, invoices and transaction records).
8. Your rights and choices
Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we share it with;
- correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention requirements;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing done before withdrawal);
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated;
- make a complaint about how your data is handled.

9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
10. User-generated content
Reviews, comments and photos you post in public areas of the Site can be seen by anyone. Do not include personal information you do not want to be public.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will take extra steps to inform you.
